Types of Cases Handled

During a typical year, the majority of case work is comprised of Family Law and Divorces, Title Closings, Social Security Disability and Appeals, Wills and Estates, Real Estate work and Criminal Representation. The Powers Law Firm also accepts many labor related cases, including but not limited to gender employment fairness issues, harassment and unemployment and workers' compensation.

Corporate clients are welcomed at the Powers Law Firm, from incorporating new businesses to providing general counsel.

Currently, the Powers Law Firm is not accepting new bankruptcy clients or medical malpractice cases.

Attorney Fee Policy

**** ALL FEES NON-REFUNDABLE ***

Legal fees are to be paid up front and in full whenever possible. In most cases, fees can be paid half up front, and half before filing or completion of work. At least half of the fees must be paid before work can begin on your case. Other arrangements and payment plans are available by agreement between client and attorney only.

Filing fees are to be paid by separate check and made out to the appropriate clerk of court, as those fees are not payments to this office, but to the appropriate court.
